I'm perfectly satisfied with my 3650 however the ability to listen to mp3s in stereo makes me consider getting a 6620, especially because they're pretty cheap. They even go for less than 6600's on eBay. Anybody got one? How's the sound quality? And what kind of headphones do you need, any kind or special Nokia ones? And if you need the Nokia ones, are they included in the package?

i believe that's a modified version of the 6600.
not available in europe.

i received my 6600 last weekend and i'm not so happy with it.
my 2 year old sony ericsson t300 plays much better polyfonic tunes
with much more clarity!
also the speaker is really bad on the 6600
hope the 6620 is better

6620 is USA's 6600, check out US nokia.com.

it works on 850 mhz freq instead of 900, so if ur place uses 900, u cant use it. its triband, 850, 1800, 1900.

I agree. I love the 6600 but the thing that lets it down is the speaker and the loudness/quality of it. Wonder if the 6670 or 6630 is better that way?

To clarify, 6620 is not the same as 6600.

6620 was designed in parallel with the 6600 as a higher-quality model. It's 850 mhz band abilities are not its only defining characteristic. It is, in fact, more similar to a 7610 with EDGE in the body of a 6600. It has EDGE, some software upgrades, more memory (12 MB), supposedly a faster processor and more ram, pop-port (idk if 6600 has pop-port), and slight body changes e.g. a barely noticeable joystick change to accomodate large thumbs (for all the fat-a$$es in this country, I'd assume. Damned fast food). This article discusses it.

To answer the thread question, I would assume that it sounds more like the 7610 mp3 quality. Although I'm under the impression that that's only slightly better than the 6600 quality. And I've heard 6600 doesn't sound much better than 3650. Wait for the 3230 in January and import it.

But since the 6600 is mono and the 6620 stereo it MUST sound much better right?

Not if it's got the same crappy speaker that my 6600 has.

I bought one and I must say it sounds incredible. Nevermind the sound through the headphones (stereo) but even listening to music through the loudspeaker it sounds great. It's crisp, not like on the 3650 when it sounded like it comes out from an old radio. Overall great phone, best I've had a chance to play around with so far...
