I have just bought an unlocked 7600 on e-bay. It works fine on my local network (Jersey Telecoms - 234 50 I think) but wonder whether to get the menu option enabled so as to permanently select 2g. As far as I know there are no plans to introduce 3g in Jersey.
However, does anyone know if the phone will try to lock on to a 3g signal when roaming on a UK network ? If not, then there is no need to get the phone factory reset as I will probably never have the problem during the life of the phone. I will only use the phone occassionally in the UK.
