7250 Problems (help!)

two days ago my nokia 7250 just seemd to lose power i put this down to a dead battery as when i tried to power it up again the screen and all the lights jus flashed and it switched off again nothing else, so when i got home i plugged in the charger and nothing, it wont charge anymore i have realised it is not a problem with the charger as i have tried it on other phones has anyone any idea what could be the problem and how i could fix it, or even better where i could download ne diagnostic software to help me,
