I'm thinking of getting a 3650 and would like to know how to transfer games from my PC to it before I buy it so I know of all the stuff I need.Anyway would I be able to use this (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Phones/Mobile-accessories/Chargers/auction-18462814.htm) to put them onto the MMC? or do I need something else?

Cheers

I knew they existed but i've never actually heard of anyone using a data cable foe a 3650. Out of the other transfer methods ir is way too slow so that leaves bt and mmc reader.

The bt is the most convenient for sending small files, it's pretty quick and good for using with pc apps (backup programs etc) but if you want to send in a lot of files or a large file (like a movie) it can take ages. The mmc reader is rapid but you have to switch the phone off and take out the mmc everytime you want to move something.

The best solution is to buy both the bt dongle and an mmc reader, they aren't expensive, mmc readers go from about £5 and bt dongles from £12.

yes, i recommend bt too. u cant install stuff with mmc card reader, unless u got a file explorer installed on ur phone 1st.

if u need to get the bt working properly on ur pc, do a search on this forum for mrouter3 beta. works wonders for my frend's pc.

Don't get a 3650 at all, get the 7610 or the 6630 instead, and buy both the BT and the MMC reader.

I agree but... If he wants a cheap S60-phone with a camera, he should get a 6600. If he wants an even cheaper one, he should get a 3650 or 3660.

Cheers. Yeah the main reason I want a 3650 is because it's a cheap S60-phone with a camera. If I get more money I'll look at getting a 6600.

You dont need file explorer installed on the phone first. If you placed a .sis file in your E: drive, open manager and you can install from there :)

"You dont need file explorer installed on the phone first. If you placed a .sis file in your E: drive, open manager and you can install from there" - doesnt work at all. It must be placed at c:\nokia\installs, for application manager to see it.

i have lots of *sis files in drive E, but the application manager
can not see it. It happened to a friend who got the caribe virus. he had no infrared/bluetooth dongle no email. so we
tried putting the virus fix on e:\ , on e:\system\installs even on the mail folders, nothing.... he ended up having to format the phone.

that only works for ngage, not 3650 etc.

My phones not with me at the moment, and im on some super old firmware. I know you can put it somewhere in the E: drive as I did before, it might not be straight in E:\ though. When I get my phone, ill double check where it is and repost, im pretty certain you can.

yes u could, but u need an app to be installed to ur mmc 1st (from inbox), b4 u can save and install any apps from root dir of e:. say, i forgot the name of that app :(

Here's the file, can't remember exactly how to use it now but i'm sure johnnyspliff wrote a good guide ages ago, a search might turn it up.
