I havn't tested this, but you can try, it should work:

Put a 4,7k (or somthing like that) Resistor between Pin 8 of Max232 and Phone!

If this doesn't work: take one and if it still don't want to work two (or maybe als three) silicon diodes (1N4148 or 1N4004,...) and put them after the regulator output!

Pin assignments should be OK I think!
