Change the port mode to ECP in the Bios, and ensure that you have the correct LPT port select in settings in Rolis! Try both!

Hello All,

I am having a similar problem like jagajutt. When I try and use Rolis (or Knock) to read my 8890's flash memory, the message "Power On Phone" comes up. When I do this, the software does not respond and the phone actually switches on (which it shouldn't). My processor will max out (100%) and I have to use Task Manager to shut it down.

I am using Windows ME and I am not sure if this is a problem of needing to configure my LPT port or not? Can someone tell me what I need to do in order to get this to work. I am not so experienced with configuring port settings and flashing phones so detailed advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

Try and install porttalk drivers or userport to try and solve your problem

It may not be so much the printer port ettings but more likely that windows is blocking rollis from using that port

Also I would suggest checking that your port is set to ECP mode
