Be kind to me :)

On receiving a call, the phone vibrates, but no ringing tones.

When used in the nokia hands free kit in the car its okay.

Did a reset to factory settings still no different.

You can very faintly hear it ringing (same with the old and new ringer), yep the volume is at max.

Ordered and fitted a new ringer, still the same.

No corrosion etc inside the phone.

Any ideas of what could try?

I do have a cable somewhere which I bought to connect it up to my laptop to down load emails etc off the net (can't remember the number of it at the moment) would that help for anything?

Now bought another 6210, so now had a chance to check the old ringers in the new phone, they work okay. So the problem is with the pcb.

A jumper with thin paint string solders as on the figure see.

The yellow line takes instead of the red line through the PCB.

Then the bell tone should function again

Hi Robin/funshopper_de

Thank you for the information :)

I've had a look at my pcb with a magnifing glass, its incredibly tiny, I'll have a go and report back (may not do it until after new year)

Regards

Steve

I'm currently waiting to get back to work to try the soldering fix, Work has far smaller soldering irons than me.

I don't understand this

U need to reball COBBA chip.
Perhaps you could explain a bit further please.
