Hi all,

I got a 7600 on 3 yesterday and managed to get it unlocked using a code from the net. Unfortunately, I have noticed a couple of annoying things.
Firstly, I cannot manually edit any of the GPRS / MMS settings and can't delete the unused ones. Secondly, I cannot turn off the camera shutter sound! :-D
I was wondering if I managed to find someone that can flash my phone, is it possible to remove all traces of 3 and enable some of the missing features? I know that it was possible to turn the shutter sound of in an earlier firmware version but for some reason they decided to remove this facility in the latest firmware.

Lastly, is it only possible to update/downgrade the firmware using one of the expensive boxes or will there ever be a cable that can do it just for the 7600.

I hope someone can help.

I'm afraid you need a box.....

if you take it to a shop they should do it for about £10-15

Cheers for the reply. Problem is, there isn't anyway near where I am that resets them. I'll have to keep looking.

I guess you are software version 04.05 sucks don't it, I downgraded mine to 03.05 and it works fine.

The code below will allow you to remove the MMS & GPRS settings

I also have a nokia 7600 with version 4.05 firmware, if i got this downgraded to 3.05 will this allow me turn that annoying clicking sound with the camera?

Yes I had 03.05 because I got my phone early on, then when 04.05 came out I flashed my phone with it, took a picture went that crap tried to turn if off there is NO option. so I downgraded it back to 03.05

its strange the latest version for the 6230 still have the sound off option.
