sim registration failed

Help....

My partners mum has a nokia 3310 on T-Mobile UK she thought her bag had been stolen with her phone etc etc she reported her phone to T-Mobile .... then found her bag and phone so she rang T-Mobile who said they would stop the order to stop the simcard from been used .. now the phone say's 'sim registration failed' when you try any sim card in it, however the sim card works in other phones.

Does this mean the t-mobile has black listed the phone ?

Yes, the phone has been black listed by T-Mobile becoz you have reported it stolen. Maybe you have to call back T-Mobile to re-activate it again, your sim card is ok!

That's illegal !
No honest shop will do that.
