EMEI??

Hello Every one:)

Thanks to this quality site I've been able to get my 3310 working again:)
I'm wondering: I once bought an 8210 but lost it just 3 weeks after. Had no incuresene with my opperator.. So lost som money there.
I was thinking to change the EMEI on a older phone to the exact same as my lost 8210. If the lost phone is on the bottom of the lake ore smashed up. It should work fine. So I change the EMEI on my old phone. Use it for a wild and change it back. Then tell my opperator. Hey my phone is stolen!!! And get a brand new one.. The thing is... The phone: Does it send out just the emei ore some other id as well?

Is this a good idea ore am I looking fore some time behind walls?:)

I dont understand what your trying to do but I can answer your question.. it ONLY sends out the IMEI as a unique identifier - thats why changing the IMEI will unblock a blocked phone... /n/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
