Samsung E700

I have a Samsung E700, which when switched on displays "Limited Service" on the screen. I have tried the unlocking code #*7337# and it switches off and then back on, put the sim card back in but still displays the same message.
Am I doing something wrong or does this mean the phone is barred?
If so what can I do now

i take it you would have a signal where you are with the sim? if you have then it sounds like it is barred, sorry

If it's barred you can change the imei with the right software.Please note that this is illegal in the UK & most other countries,And can carry a very heavy prison sentence. :eek: Please note that if you do change the imei it is a big risk.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! :roll:
