Hm.. well, there are many ideas about nokix scripts, so i put there my idea too.. ;) Is possible that header in SMS haven't title from contacts book, but is named as for example 10 chars from message? It's like 3510i mobiles, and it's very effective :) Naturally, it can change this option to standart settings from Messages menu using 5e0 confid ;) cya

True, confirmed just now :grin: and [0x05] displays the available and used space in SIM card

this is an easy request and anyone can do it ;)

check it out:
1- use shortkeys script and use func=0x322
2- to have a power menu list without "Switch off!" just use the power_button_menu.rx script and don't include the switch off! line in the descriptions file

Here's my ideas. I haven't got a clue on how to write scripts 'n' stuff so yeah, hopefully you people can help me out :grin: ....or just make them for me. lol. Here's my ideas:

1) Spy Mode ULTrA: Exactly the same as spy mode, except it locks the keypad, so only *+(insert # here) can unlock it. It also switches off the speaker in the phone, so you can be talking to people on your end of the phone, while listening to the unaware people on the other end, where you left your mobile :grin: just for extra safety, so people don't discover the "Spy Mode", they just think the phone is off :D .

2) MIDI Playback Support (?). I'm not sure if this is possible (probably not.) Is it possible to do this?

3) Keypad Security Lock. For those less fortunate people who have 33xx's and other phones that don't have this feature. Adds an extra layer of security over the inbox lock.

4) DCT3 & DCT4 Calculator!. I Think this has already been done with MadOS, but I think some people would only prefer bits and pieces of MadOS, instead of the whole lot. If MadOS if available in a feature-by-feature pack, in both NokiX and G3n0lite scripts, everyone would be happy ;-)

5) Animated Screensavers w/ sounds? This would be cool, as long as you only have the feature activated for around 1min, otherwise it would get annoying.

6) Software Skins! What I think would be a grrreat idea. Having skin packs that turn your Nokia into another brand of phone (software visually). Like, have Siemens/Sony Erricson etc. Menus, screensavers, graphics etc. Maybe even someone could write a program for someone to design their own theme'd skins.

to control a phone using AT commands is very easy because you make a software to send a pre-defined set of chars and the phone does the rest. What do u think a prog like neb's does when reading a DCT3 info or when making a full-reset? Try tu use a port monitor software and you can easily realise that what the program does is limited.

If someone finds out wich functions are activated by the commands, then maybe controling such hardware would be possible. Still, i don't see what TX power would be disabled to save battery. If u check the voltages with netmonitor you see that when in a call it reaches very high values, and, when in stand-by with lights off, it goes almost to none...

I've wasted almost a day studying that function and so far have found nothing of importance for this matter. The way this phone controls the leds is in no way compared to other DCT3 :???:

To be able to do this you need a phone that has a larger flash chip that you can place the flash in easily

For example the 3330 is very similar to the 3310 as the only main difference in the firmwares is the WAP

For the 5110 I dont think there is another phone that encorperates the same I/O map to be able to insert the flash larger

Maybee you should just throw it away and get a 3310 ? :P

just patch mestrini's/nokdoc's script Direct_NO-SIM_v2.nrx and you get a phone that works without SIM and can't make call or sens messages ;)

but with this function we can set the profile change only for the next day
it is possible to change it that i can set the profile change to example
from monday to friday from 8.00 to 18.00 to silent and the rest of the day normal.

I don’t think this is possible as there are allot of HW & SW system initialization routines in the boot sequence in a nokia.

As for the messages question.

MSG_D_INIT; comes once when the message system starts a 5e0 handler. If you don’t reply to this message with MSG_R_STAY; the 5e0 handler will exit and end its processing.

MSG_D_QUIT; comes when the phone wants to end the current 5e0 handler such as C key or numeric keys being pressed. You can make the phone stay in the handler by returning the message MSG_R_STAY;

Basically you make your code respond to these messages. For instance the user enters your 5e0 routine message MSG_D_INIT will be in register R0 the functions first pram eg. The local variable `msg` will hold the currently sent message in a function defined as; ULONG entry (ULONG msg).

Make your code check which message has been sent by using simple condition statements such as a Switch or 'If then else'.

The best way to learn this is by playing around and making your own test scripts
(that’s how I learnt).
But I also think we need better documentation on how the nokia core messaging system works, maybe if some one is interested they could help me document some (maybe even a Coder's thread?):D

Is it possible, to insert a minute counter into a 3210?
I'm from Hungary, and I use Vodafone, wich have /minute prices (all day, all time the same price): if I speak 2 seconds, or 30 sec, or 56 sec, I pay 1 minute.

So, I need a minute counter, wich counts every started minute

For exaple:
if call duration: 0:22 then minute:+1
if call duration: 3:02 then minute:+4

what if the voice dialling saved messages could be used as ringtones, i.e. to play the voice message (or all the 8 of them sequentially), so they could be used as some kind of polyphonic ringtones.

Is there a possibility to switch off LEDs in Nokia 7110? Of course PERMANENTLY switch off...
I have a patch from danwood76 to do the same in Nokia 6210 (it works properly) but it does not work with Nokia 7110...

Hi Mr. Ligomat1,

Maybe U could try the Nokix alternative script, maybe that would work.

I think the problem is that in 3310 the value 00020033 is used to set the lights off.

From my head this is 0002003A for 7110.

U could manually try changing all occurances to 00000000 as is being discussed in the mToneZ/ mLogoz thread.

I hope this is a reasonable excuse, I don't have a 7110 file to verify this here for U.

that's the problem m8. Polish users can come to this well known english spoken forum and get our scripts (check the site p_l_q mentions) but we don't know what's going on over there (and they are advanced users/modders/developers) and they don't bother to come here more often and let us know :mad:

deadspot if U want moon script here U are. This is maxevans script, a polish user from pasjagsm.pl. I made ppm file so now its POLI and ENGL languages. I found small bug - the alghoritm didn't use a hours& minutes only date but I don't have time to fix it :( , maybe U? :D
also I have a sunrise script - it show sunrise, sunset and daylenght, but I can't create dialog box to set a longitude, latitude and time zone - maybe someone could help me?. As result we must set this parameters in C file :(

I have 8bars working.

I suggest more bars is possible, but then we ought to do good study on the battery loading sequences as defined in records in the eeprom.

These 8 steps decide the maximum number of bars for this moment.

Changing that part is to me delicate while it could possibly hurt Ur battery lifetime.

To 8 bars in the script could be possible with some adjustments, but I dono much bout how the scripts work.

Maybe soon I'll try make a 40bars demofile on 8210/ 3310, I wanted to try for myself too for a long time.

i do admire the script output in NokiX since my phone goes very much scientific now, i saw one error in the "Periodic Table frame" if i am viewing in the extreme left @ no. 1 element which is hydrogen then i constantly press key-8, the pixel highlighter (DOT) moves outside the frame which is then located below the border. but i guess this is a minor error, so far this is the only thing i saw for now, hopefully by saturday as u've promised there'll be some good sort of fixing the error and to make it a universal periodic table, in english based language i mean... thank you druidbartek, more power and good luck on ur examinations :roll:

'Theft' is a program for Nokia Series 60 mobile phones that works as a safe protection from being lost or stolen.

What is Theft?

?Theft’ starts automatically as the phone is turned on, and then always keeps detecting whether the phone is turned off in a wrong way, or your SIM Card is changed. It also keeps checking messages arriving for an activation text you previously defined (See the "SMS text to attack" in Program Settings section). Then ?Theft’ will attack the thief in three ways:

With a permanent text on the screen saying that ?THIS MOBILE IS LOST OR STOLEN’ along with any other text you provide; such as your name and contact telephone number.
The phone will send messages to a list of recipients you created for ?Theft’ to inform you that the phone is locked (It will also inform you of the new SIM number if someone has changed your SIM Card.).
A very loud long siren will sound from the phone alerting people in the vicinity and disturbing the thief.
THE THIEF WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FORMAT THE PHONE AS FORMATTING REQUIRES A LOCKCODE (THAT YOU CAN CHANGE FROM THE PHONE SYSTEM SETTINGS) AND FOR THE THIEF TO DO THIS IT WILL TAKE SOMETIME AND THAT TIME WOULD BE THE ENOUGH TIME FOR 'THEFT' TO LAUNCH.

How will the thief be affected?

The thief changes the SIM; this requires powering off or rebooting the phone. Of course that will happen without the thief turning ?Theft’ off first as the thief does not know the code you used to ?Turn off? ?Theft’. The result will be that the next time the phone is powered on, ?Theft’ will enter attack mode; will show the display, will send messages to the phone numbers in the ?Recipients? list and will emit the warning alarm tone.
The thief changes the SIM; assuming you have set the ?Attack on SIM change? field to ?Yes?, the next time the phone is powered on ?Theft’ will detect that the SIM has been changed and will enter attack mode, and will carry out the same actions as above including sending the details of the new SIM card in the text message. Even if the thief subsequently re-inserts the original SIM, the attack will repeat when the phone is powered on and will continue to do so until the phone is "Unlocked" with the required code.
The thief does not change the SIM card and you send a text message from any other mobile phone to your phone containing text you provided in ?SMS text to attack? field.
There is only one way to turn the phone back to the normal mode; you must press ?Unlock? and then you must enter your valid ?Turnoff code? the same code that you provided to ?Theft’ in the ?Application? page of the ?Program settings? section

Periodic Table version 9b is fine and if ever u can make a brief identifier for those numbers in the entry since it is hard to memorize the sequence of the data entry.

fading led's works by flickering the led's on & off extremly fast with a delay that increses X amount of times in the as the fade sequence loops (the led's flicker so fast that it looks as if they are fading). If you where to have the led's at a certian point of brightness, it would actualy take up more battery power as alot more processor time would be required to continuously 'flicker' the led's (it would make your phone un-usable also as the phone would not beable to respond to keypresses and other basic tasks.)

Hello all. Just want to know if there still exist a program for SMS that will send fake SMS: SMS messages which simply recieved by the recipient and then disappears instantly. Making the user wonder why his/her phone alerts/rings since no messages where recieved.

If anyone knows about this stuff. Just wanna ask if it is possible to build a script for NokiX.. :D
