5140 tone problem

I just bought a nokia 5140 which I think is ace, but I have 1 major problem with it. When I send a text message as soon as It sends it plays the message recieved tone. I've gone all through the setting but cannot turn it off, any ideas??? :-? :-? :-?

Just checked, delivery report says "No" so its not that. I'm completely baffled. Got another problem as well, dont know if anyone can solve this.
I've tried to set the email up on my phone so that I can send & recieve emails using my ntlworld email addy. I can send, but not recieve. any ideas?
I've looked on the O2 website but the 5140 isn't listed, I had to ring their customer support & get talked through the settings for the GPRS & MMS.
The Nokia site isn't much help either, that just says contact your service provider. I guess Nokia think that simply selling you a phone is service enough!! :(
