E700 Imei Changing Software

A few people have recently been asking me for this software, and to save time and new threads being opened asking for it, i've uploaded it here,

connect a s500 cable to your e700 with phone off, flip open, click enter test mode, the screen should have got blue sayin tat mode, enter new imei into box, and click imei, then click reset then unlock

done

Using wrong cable mate try and use usb samsung e700 cable works first time for me. :)

Use external, 8 pin serial comport S500 cable.This is the best one for the job.

there are 2 types of cable, the unlocking serial cable and the data transfer cable, if you have a data transfer cable then you need to modify it to a maintenance cable.

I have heard that a usb cable will work but i havnt tried this myself

WITH USB CABLE ALTHOUGH MINE WAS ON COM 6 THE SOFTWARE ONLY HAS
4 COMS I CHANGES MY SETTING TO USE COM 2 AND ALL WORKED DONE 3

hey guys i was wondering i have a e800 that i need to change the imei back.

i have the pkt133lbec cable. which i think is the e700/e800 one. and i get that section 12 not exist.

should i get this s500 cable instead and try that. which is the PCB093LBE.

Hi,The reason you are getting the section 12 error message is because you are using the wrong cable.The correct cable to use for this, is the external, 8 pin serial comport S500 cable.

Glad to here you got it sorted.The e700/e800 & s500 cable are all the same. If it is a usb cable you may get problems.If you get section 12 error again and you know that the cable you are using is the right one, try it again,but hold the cable into the phone tight or clean the contacts on the phone,this can also give you the same error message. :D

ok i have the usb with the driver (v.3) with port 4 and it worked fine with the easystudio prog. im sutin down the fhone pressing the tat mode and turnig it on again the prog say tat ok but the screen turns all whit :???: ant not blue like it should, im pressing the imei botton and the prog say that it writing a new imei and stops at 80%!!!!!!rrrrrr and say "section 12 not bla bla"
what the hell m i doing worng??? maby i need to change somthing in the defenitions?? oh ya btw the defult lengue in the fhone is hebrew and it have english too. tnx all.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPAIRING DAMAGED IMEI ON E700

1. Connect your COM port data cable into COM1 on your computer and other end into phone
while the phone is switched off.

2. Run "Cerberos1.4fixed.exe" and press "Enter TAT" button then after 1sec press power
button for 2secs (you will see progress bar and handset info in program).

3. Run "Samsung SGH-S500 Service Tools Ver 2.00.exe", OK the dialog box twice, enter your
ORIGINAL IMEI then press the "IMEI" button (the program will confirm IMEI has been written/ You
may also wish to unlock the phone at this point by pressing "Unlock" button).

4. Close "Samsung SGH-S500 Service Tools Ver 2.00.exe"

5. Press "Exit TAT" in "Cerberos1.4fixed.exe" to close COM port and exit TAT mode.

6. Disconnect cable, insert your Sim and power up your phone.


This guide should only be used for repairing your original IMEI if it has somehow been damaged! If you use this guide for illegal purpose may you feel the Lords Wrath!

Hey!

I followed the wwanthony's tutorial :) but I am stuck.

I have an original e700 cable but on com1 program can't find the phone. On com3 it is working and everything seems fine, imei is being written BUT it stucks on 20%.
Any ideas what to do?

Btw, if i get "12 section not exist" does this mean i choosed wrong com or that my cable is wrong? (i think it shouldn't be possible for it to be wrong since it is original and program finds phone and reads info from it)

Try using another computer with Win98 or ME.

Yup, the battery is charged.
About trying it on 98 or ME... thanks for the tip, I'll try that later today but if it fails, I think I'm gonna buy a new cable.
I just have one question - can it be a cable like this one:

I read that the cable supposed to have some "data u/d" switch and this one doesn't so I'm suspicious :D

so after all that lengthy info which cable is recomended buying from ebay (used with the E700 in accordance with the zip file at the start of the thread)? ive looked on ebay but there are so many and the descriptions seem vague.
