hey guys
firstly, great site!i used to own a samsung phone and there was some sites I was a member of which were great - filled with resources,downloads,support and friendliness...but this seems to be better again!!now im not so bummed i downgraded from a t100 to a 5210 after breaking my old phone!! anyway, on to my problem...
after having seen a 5210 with inverted lcd screen whilst browsing on ebay i decided to try n discover how that was achieved
after searching for literally hours on the internet im none the wiser!
i am aware that there are two options and ways of doing this:
using 'foil'
or 'flashing' my phone
am i correct?
what i wouldnt mind is if somebody could elaborate on these two processes for me? whats involved with each?how much will each cost?what do i need (hardware, software etc) to perform this?and if anyone has experience,which looks best?
also, ive heard that 'flashing' your phone doesnt stop at inverting screens and can achieve alot more...are there any resources where i can find out more about this 'flashing' business, and what the possibilities are??
any help on any of these matters would be greatly appreciated!!
thanks in advance,
leigh duffy

It's hard to belive you have been searching for hours.
Just have a quick look here and you will find out that flashing can do more than invert your screen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, There is 2 ways of inverting:

1: Requires a T6 screwdriver and special foil.

Disadvantages: Permanent.

Advantages: Looks better than software way (in my opinion)

2: Requires a flasher cable/box and software.

Advantages: Not permanent
Have the option to change it back through menu or shortcut keys.
You can modify your phone to do a lot more with software. (read Nokix or g3n0lite section)

Disadvantages: Doesn't look as good as hardware way (in my opinion)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

With the 1st option you have to peel off a layer of the screen, turn it to it's side and stick it back on. Or if the screen isn't square you will need the foil.

With the 2nd option you can read about flashing/modding in Forum FAQ and read about Nokix or g3n0lite in their section.

@bradysarlo

cheers m8! dont really know how i missed that!
think i am going to go for the foil method having looked into the two! sounds best!
just one other question.. because my 5210's screen isnt exactly square, is there anywhere i can buy this foil and cut it to size, as turning mine 90 wont properly cover the screen! also, are there any pictures of this process on the internet anywhere, just for my piece of mind if nothing else!!

thanks for any help!

I remember being on a UK based site that showed how to do it and sold the foil but i can't seem to find it.
I hope this site will help you out. (http://www.blue-backlight.de/booster.cgi?v=http://www.blue-backlight.de/de/umbau_de/umb_6210_inv.htm)
Looks like nokiafree was more help than mobileburn hehe. :p
