Dear Friends and experts,

I have a Nokia 8250 but it doesn't have Japanese Language for my selection. I would like to add Japanese language into the phone.
Could anyone in here tell me the exact steps and files needed in order to perform such task?

is it possible to do it via iRA ? Infra red.

Warmest regards,

Deji

You need flash cable and mbus cable(data cable) in order to flash your phone with ppm pack which contain japanese language.

If you never flash phone before, try to do a search and learn how do update or upgrade your phone.

Dear friend,

I am a Japanese in Malaysia.

Could you please tell me where can I get the Japanese PPM?
at least I can bring the PPM to any phone shop to get them to load it in for me.

I don't think there is any japanese language in 8250, see attach file for language info.

Hi,

I believe there must be one Japanese language out there, else how do you explain those phones in Japan? THey are all in Japanase Language including nokia.

If they have created Chinese traditional and simplifies, even thai language an others, why isn't Japanese Language ?

I think I have got the answer from the clubNokia site:

"Mobile phone service for using GSM phones and accessories is not provided in Japan. As a result of the lack of a GSM network in Japan , support and repair of GSM mobile phones or accessories in Japan is limited. (For example: longer deposit repair period (approx. 1 month); limited capability for functional/mechanical testing; limited capability for support of GSM network related settings). Please contact "Hello Nokia" (mentioned in owner's guide) for more information."

"Nokia GSM mobile phones do not support Japanese language. However, instruction manuals are available in both Japanese and English languages"

To know more "http://www.club.nokia.co.jp/eng/gsm/user/chui.html"

Maybe we could try to create one.

Thaks guys :)
