I only got the ownpda version but im guessing it works better than the DotSis one :-P

was gonna happen sooner or later

This version is too slow for it to be worth paying for so ill prob us the cracked version HOWEVER if they speed it up ill pay without a doubt

While one can argue with the ethics of cracking a £10 bit of software, the fact remains that the majority of people who download cracked apps would never have paid for the program in the first place anyway.

And if you haven't got a credit card (for example, a UK debit account holder with a Switch/Visa Electron debit card), you can't even buy the program legally.

Here in Italy ( I mean, ITALY, we live in a nearly-prehistoric age ) with 5 euros
you can buy a rechargeable credit card, no bank account required, so I really can't see any problem.

I don't believe who tell that he'll pay when the program will be faster or so, they'll always ask a faster, more compatible emulator and so on ... I mean, there SHOULD be a goddamn limit to this cracking thing.

These are just my two ( euro ) cents ...

As far as I know here in the UK, land of coppers walking round in bellend-shaped hats, prepaid credit cards don't exist.

So for someone without a Visa/Mastercard etc there's no chance of buying it. How then is that person supposed to get vSun without downloading a cracked version?

A simple Paypal account can't be too hard to set up can it?

I agree.Time will come when excellent developers like Vampent,DigiRed,Infinite Dreams and so on will b forced to leave the symbian scene (due to low profits) and move to more remunerative platforms.Let's support people that deserves it.

Yes I tried the ownpda and it runs faultlessly.
Oh btw, I only get cracked apps, because Im not gonna spend any money on software since im still a student. Once ill get a job, then ill start buying software. Until then im sticking to the naughty stuff.

The OwnPda ver. of Vsun is what i have. I'll buy a update ver. from Vampent. Once they improve it, so i can have sound & no lag 2gether on my QD.

You can go to your bank & ask them to make your debit card a visa card!!! Duh so it acts like a credit card but it is a debit card.

If only it were that easy.

I've got a couple of Visa cards, but not all banks will do this with all debit accounts. Several people I know were in this situation and had to open new accounts just to get a Visa/Mastercard.

Regardless, to start faffing around asking your bank for a different card just to buy a bit of phone software for a tenner is ludicrous really. Vampent will lose money over this, it's already happening as evidenced by some threads on here.

don`t think soo the cracker`s are doing a greate job for people with low cost and student`s! so we can`t really blame them!atleas i think they do a really greate job by cracking alot of stuff!i use cracked stuff to test the software with all the future`s and if i like it i buy it! ofcourse do i support the people that create stuff i like :cool:

I agree. When it comes to software like 3D Studio, Photoshop, Visual Studio and MS Office it's good that piracy exists. It means that young people can get to try applications they never could afford to buy.

But vsun is very cheap..

True, but vSun isn't worth the 20$ it's cheap but why pay for something that runs like shit on ur fone.

U won't buy Half Life 2 if u had a Petium 1 at home now would u ?

I wouldn't download and burn it if all I had was a P1 either.

I understand people trying vSun out without buying it, but they tried to allow that. vSun is, judging by the hype the best thing to happen to the Symbian/N-Gage community in a while. If people don't support it, then it will only discourage others from simular projects not to mention kill this project.

I've heard mixed reviews though. Some people seem rather content with it as it is, and those are the people that I'd expect to support it. As for the others, if you hate it so much then I see no point in you using it at all. It is getting a little much when people are just using every excuse they can come up with to not pay for something, especially something like this that wasn't funded by Nokia's billions but by a small developer.

yeah Vazkor why are you protection the symbian community? are you from a anti pirate symbian group or something? :roll: the people that create symbian stuff earn really good since it are not all that really earn as little as a student! and if you think the symbian community will be killed becouse some use cracked stuff! your wrong they live really good and earn alot from people that buy there stuff!
