Hi !!!

I just saw in the New Nokix's Changelog that Yak was referring Nokia 3310 v6.39.

Where can I get this.

Here http://home.planet.nl/~kdoren/

In this version some bugs were fixed, for example if you receive a message (from network) that don't have a number but
simply a name instead, you can reply to it. In previous versions you would
see "bad phone number" or something like that...

Anyone who knows where I could find v 6.39 with language pack "A"??
I've had no luck searching for it, and would be most grateful... :-P

ShadoW2004 : thank you :)

Snooky : http://nokiafree.org/forums/t73542/h/s.html NokDoc said that you can use 633 ppm packs. (y)

OK, thanks!
I have no experience whatsoever with combining MCUs and PPMs, but who knows - maybe I'll be able to "import" the 6.33 PPM "A" into the 6.39 flash and surprise myself? :)
It would be better and safer, though, with a genuine 6.39 "A"...

nah, no problem at all as long as they are from same version

just look for a program called nasNFCon.exe that handles flash files in both (fls & wintesla) formats and allows to combine, split and check for checksums :D

You can also combine them while flashing since Rolis allows to load both MCU+PPM files and flashes them together ;)

cheers and good luck

Does the software work if I try to flash an old phone with an old software?
I don't know much, but I read that there should be an Eeprom problem, that is if Eeprom is not the same of Mcu, this couldn't work!

Hi,

My 3310 is almost one of the 1st producted series. (v4.06)

I upgraded all the way till v06.39 with keeping my own eeprom.

If U're insecure, then just make a good backup and try.

If it didn't work, put back Ur backup, pretty harmless.

I bet this advice could save U alot of confusion with stuff other people tell U.
