Open the shortcut not the exe.

Check my last post in this thread

http://nokiafree.org/forums/t66477/h/s.html

This way works 100% and it will give you full IO access for each program you run through it

Danny

tried running the shortcut

I see a dos box open then close and nothing else happens, which I think is running the AllowIo.

How ever there is no error either so must be getting somewhere

You will need to install the porttalk driver as I described on the other thread.
What you need to do is check that the flasher has the same name as what is on the end of the shortcuts properties

don't use windows xp.
try windows 2000, it will make many things much easier.
for flashing with my windows 2000 i first get userport program, but now i have realised i don't even need it, rolis flasher works straight without userport drivers (noticed after reinstall of windows 2000).
(also may be something to do with older hardware, newest cutting edge multimedia-pc's always have some problems)

Well there are a few problems using ME or 2000,
Both OS's are rubbish :p

If you are going to downgrade then use 98SE best one ever
The only problem is you will loose the massive driver database that XP has and also the security/internet features

Best to stick with XP as I and many other have ;)

I have 2 PCs one has a 3.0 GHz P4 Presscot, Win XP, massive HDs, DVD writer etc. but my motherboard doesnt have a parralel port or serial ports just a stupid number of USBs and Firewires so I made another smaller PC that only has a Intel Pentium 1 200 MHz I have this set up as a flashing station with all my softwares etc on there it cost me about £20 to build and works a treat all I have done is put a net card in each machine and used a crossover cable to link them
That is my best solution anyway :)

Danny

I have no problem at all with XP

Just port95nt.exe (userport)

And knok-xpmobile, works perfectly with flashing and "set faid" .etc
