Colin Mcrae Rally 6600 color fix

Sorry if this has been posted before but I did a search and it didn't seem to pop up.


FIX:

After the game has loaded and the colors get "funky", make a call to any number (calling a free service number is probably best for your phone bill), hold menu button to switch back to the game. Colors will be good as long as the call is active.

Some hacks on another website forum did not believe this but i swear that it works on my 6600 - firmware v. 4.09.1 (26-02-04)

Did u try to launch mp3 player or antimosquito instead of making a call?
Maybe it worx ,bcos both apps keeps audio busy as well....
I can't test it bcos my rsmmc is a humble 32mb,so maybe some1 can see if CMcRae runs with mp3player or antimosquito in da background..

It works.So if your can call a free service number, u can play it.Antimosquito trick doesn't work.

[on 7610]Got not enough system ram to run both mp3player & colin.Even with basic theme,killed all apps & compressed memory.Even if the call trick is a lot awkward,Colin deserves to b played.Hands down best game on n-gage so far.

not enough ram on 6600 either.. but if antimos trick doesn't work mp3 trick won't work either.You have to make a call...

IMHO,yes.Addictive and challenging.Can't say the same about the majority of the n-gage game catalogue.Ah,killer gfx/sfx too.

ah the trick doesnt work on other racing games like Asphalt. I made a free service call on 6600, ran asphalt but the same shit green colors. Oh well :-(

I have 9,81MB free ram in main 6670.. but mp3 player can't back to normal color in colin :(
