I know this may be a ridiculous ? ---but I have done all the reading and still cant find the answer to my ?-----I have calulated the unlock codes for my phones a 3390 and a 6190----I know which code(s) to enter----I just want to know how to advance to the next letter----for instance in the beginning---how do you get to the w after you have entered or pressed the * key x number of times--- and got the p entered---and after you have entered all the letters and numbers what do u press to see if the phone will accept the code. I know I only have five tries so I want to do it right the first time.

Thanks

nokia phones (and maybe others) accept the hash key (#) as the 'enter' key.
When turning ON a phone, and after typing the PIN code, one can press the hash key insted of the 'soft' button ;)

so after typing all the code's digits just press '#'' and phone will compare it with the right answer :D

cheers

I understand to press the # to enter the code but how do u advance to the next letter---say the w after pressing the * key x number of time and have inputed the p---what do u press to make the p stay in the code response so you can go to the w. Is that a little clearer mud?---lol

You should just have to wait like 2 seconds and then it will go to the next letter then you type the * key how ever many times needed.

Thanks for the info---as a result, I was successful in unlocking all the phones I had that were collecting dust---- I now have 3 additional phones I can use (and have tested) if something happens to my current phone. Thanks again.
