Hello

Edited:
Please see my posts at the bottom.

Does anyone have a draft for making a flasher\mbus cable for DCT3 (DCT4 would be welcome too).

I can see that the difference between the wiring on the MBUS and the flasher cable for 3310 is that there is an additional wire on the flasher cable, and with the MBUS, the pin that has no wire from the cable going to it is connected to another pin. Does anyone know how the connectors used to connect the two cables together (in case there are two, like with a flasher when you have one cable with an LPT connector and one cable that has the connector to connect with the phone). Drafts would be great, if anyone has them.

Thanks

Thank you both, that was exactly what i wanted :) That site is especially nice, thanks nokdoc.

By the way, do you guys know the pin-out for 6600? Are the pins located next to the sim card?

Thanks

cheers

One more thing, are the Tx and MBUS pins always connected to one wire (i have a bought mbus cable for 3310 and thore is a wire to the Tx and then the Tx pin and the MBUS pin are connected with another wire)?

Thank you

Hi,

>> are the Tx and MBUS pins always connected to one wire...

I recall, when I got my 8210 data cable, this was done too.

And it was a reason either the flasher, or the mbus function did not work!
(can't recall which)

So I resoldered it to one wire to each of the 3 pins, which made it all work in the end.

The thing at the right side of the pins is the slot for the sim card, right?
And, after making a DCT4 cable, how would you then make the connector (or something so the pins would fit right and the battery could be connected)? All "connectors" i got for DCT3 are fused plastic, so that's something you can't really make at home.. Any ideas?
One more thing, the .hex file with the schematics is the program for PIC, right?

Thanks
