songs as ringtones

i just got my nokia 6600, i have the software cd that came with the phone and i wanted i converted some songs to use them as ringtones but they do not sound great at all, actually they sound horrible. The are some next format...i wanted to know if waves files work as ringtones??? i know mp3's dont

Yes wave files work as ringtones. :)

yes, .wav files work.

and they need to be placed in a folder called sounds/digital.

or u can download oggplay and use full length .ogg's as your ringtones, and oggs are about 1/4 the size of a 20sec wave file :)

k i have 2 questions...1st, how do i put files into sounds/digital? and are ogg files good quality?

Use Seleq or File Explorer - its like window explorer that you can copy paste file and explore all the files on your phone/phone drive. Yup, ogg files have good in qualities as music.
