Hi all,
I'm trying to read info off my nokia 3310 using noktools by rolis v1.39 and a NKFLASH-FM cable from ucables.com, believe its a F/MBUS serial cable but when i click on the red button i get this error "Write Error (Error: 995)" and there is a message in the noktool status bar saying "check mbus cable". I then click ok and the tool shows the windows timer and locks, but i can click on the menu options and also close it down ok so it isn't frozen??!!
Also if i start up logo manager it shows not connected.
Please can anyone advise me. I'm using win xp pro with userport running. I believe I have userport set up correctly, I've set it up according to my bios readings. I'm also running a firewall but i have this disabled at present.
Regards,
James.

Thanks man but it seems that the only thing wrong was a bad connection on the handset. I fidled round with the connctor on my phone and it appears to be quite tempormental, the cables for the 3310 aren't the best quality - least not the ones from ucables.com...
So far so good for the serial mbus connection but now I appear to have difficulty trying to get my flash software to see the phone. I'm usin both rolis 4.78 and 4.79 and knok95 but none seem to find my phone??!! I'm using xp pro but also have installed userport with my lpt1 settings, 378-37F, and userport.sys in C:\Windows\system32 and system32\Drivers and have set my bios lpt to EC/EPP 1.9, disabled acpi and reinstalled lpt drivers but to no avail yet seemingly.
I dont know what else to do!! I've tested the connection by swithing from parrallel to serial mbus connection and testing that I can get a connection and reading phone info, which i can. But when I try this from nokia dct3 flasher v4.78 or v4.79 I get nothing or "preloader boot error" and "NHM-5 phone not accept preloader code".
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
James.
