Skyforce Killer!

Fathammer just released their new game for the s60 platform yesterday called AngelFish. I tried the game on my 6600 and i have to say WOW. gfx and gameplay both get top marks!! Fathammer is fast becoming my favourite game developer with titles such as StuntCar and StuntPlane. Check it out!!! oh btw, the game is huge!!! around 5 mb for 3 sis files.

also give SuperDropMania a go, a tetris style game with top notch gfx. Both games rock!!!!

I only tried Superdrop mania so far. I looks really cool, and gameplay is like puyo puyo/tetris.

Karnaj Rally is under development for almost a year by now,so i guess that we'll see SkyForce 2 christmas 2009! :grin:
BTW i'll be the happiest s60 owner of the world if Idreams prove me wrong!
I really respect them,i played Skyforce to pieces and it was the first game i bought!

I don't understand why K-rally is taking such time? They already released it on GBA over two years ago. It shouldn't take so long to port it to S60.

I just finished dl Superdrop Mania. It's a cool game, if ur a Tetris fan. :-)

Well I have mixed feelings about AngelFish. I dunno i just expected more but i dont think it beats SkyForce.
I think SkyForce has a more original gameplay, and each level is unique and you can remember where the enemies will come from and their graphics engine is very good.
But I feel AngelFish, was juts a desperate attempt to make a shoot em up game. It feels that the enemies just come randomly and i dont like that when the background moved down its always "lagging" sort of. And I dont like the waepon upgrades. I mean once you have the big laser in the middle and two small laser on each side, you cant get higher upgrade? WTF?
Its totally wierd.
Anyway, SkyForce still rocks over all games! :)

What's strange to me is the fact that they already got the gfx engine (is the 2D/3D hybrid that they coded for SkyForce),so why in the world so much development time is required?
Ok,i know that portions of the source code have to be rewritten to fit a racing game properly,but a year is a VERY LONG time even for Xbox & PS2 releases! :(

SkyForce is the best example in how to spend 1 Mb of memory.Buf after going through it 1.000.000 times i start to get a little bored of it.AngelFish fits the role of the next big thing in s60 shoot'em-ups nicely,and maybe it can be a little less brilliant compared to SkyForce,but it's still brilliant indeed!(I love the multiplier chains and the bullet dodging thing!).

I can't imagine anything being better than Skyforce @ this moment. I know that in time something will be better than Skyforce. 4 now Skyforce rules all by itself. :)
