Which cables?

Hello everyone,
I really wish to upgrade (3310 to 3315) phones (all types) and uploading pic messages, and tones to all types of phones.
So the question is , What do i really need ? What is a dongle actually?

you dont need a dongle for the 3310......

what you need is a flasher cable (for software upgrade)
and an MBUS cable (for logo's, updating FAiD etc...)

and last but not least the software.........!

if i may add to Kanedhiro's question...
I presently own an MBUS cable... I do know how to use it, but I'm sure is wondering... whats the difference between an MBUS and an FBUS cable?

If you want to connect to ALL phones do you need a
-flasher cable with ALL the Connectors..ranging from 3210 to 8850?How many connectors do i need?
How bout the MBUS?Is it compatible with all phone by using only the MBUS datacable?

I i may help my friend, i believe there is atleast 4 connectors to cover almost all of the nokia handsets common in the market today.

Like the flasher cable, the MBUS datacable's connectors vary depending on the handset you want to use it for. (flasher and MBUS connectors are similar).

as far as i am aware you can use the flasher cable on DCT3 phones...........


the difference between MBUS (Male) and FBUS (Female) is that with mbus you can do a lot more (repair imei, update faid etc..) and FBUS can only do the basics (logo's,ringtones etc..)

dongles are devices which fit on to your parallel port and tell certain software that it is legitimate. The dejan box is a device used for unlocking phones

oh, thanks for your free advise. any idea of upgrading a 5210?
i'ved upgraded mine, but it has no reception. that's why i'm asking all this to find out what i can use to calc faid for a 5210
