what is the difference with a dummy phone and a normal phone..
i mean with the physical componets inside???

a dummy phone has plastic inside and a real phone has circuit boards.

Dummy=exact copy of a working model just for display.

Use to be when the oem 'dummy/display' phones first were released they had quite a few 'real/usable' components. Then after a few months they would have the 'mock up' fake parts molded so the dummies had less that was usable.. a lot of Nokia's were that way ... lately all of the Ericsson and Motorola models never have anything you can use....

I'm sure because the more they look and feel like real phones, the tendency for people to steal them, whether they thought they were real or to use the parts.

All of the aftermarket 'dummy/display' phones we have seen NEVER have ANY parts that you can use....

it's pretty easy to get dummy phones off ebay. managers at stores that use the phones, like to put extra ones and old ones up there just to make a few extra bucks. i saw a couple of them on there today....

HI IM A TECHNICIAN AND I HAVE A 8260, IT STARTS OK GIVE THE WELCOME IMAGE AND THEN THE TIME ,NOW IF YOU TRY TO FIX THE TIME IT TURN OFF,IF YOU DONT DO ANY THING ITS KEEPS OK,WHAT COULD HAPPEN HERE.?

you should be able to get them from the people off there if they are willing to ship them to venezuela.

other than that i don't know of any other sites that would sell them.

Are dummy phones held together by screws like real phones or are they just one big lump of moulded plastic?
