messages to memory card

i just bought nokia 6260. I have a question regarding it.

how can I receive all my messages to my memory card and not to phone memory?

Open "Messages" -> Options -> Settings -> Others -> Memory -> MMC (or something like this)

This is not possible on the 6260...


@smanela => go in the "APP" section where there is a stickyed 3d on "How to set sms to mmc"...

i heard from thanh or somebody else, the app that moves ur inbox to mmc meant for ngage works on 6260, (and 3230, if anyone wans to know), cant recall its name now... heez :-D

I have put a thread in a separate section (Symbian Apps) regarding this issue. In that thread (which has been made sticky by the moderators) you can download a really small SIS file, install that on your 6260 (follow my instructions in that thread) and from then on, you can use the MMC card for message memory. This is ESSENTIAL if you want to transfer large files via bluetooth (say, a movie) because bluetooth files also go to "inbox", and if the file is bigger than 7 or 8 MB, there's no go as long as it's set to "phone".

The application MsvDriveE (that small SIS file) is originally meant for the N-Gage, but does work perfectly on the 6260 as proven by myself on my boyfriend's 6260. This also stops the annoying "messages dump" which early FW versions do - all of a sudden (and at least as soon as you remove the battery) all or some of your saved SMS are disappeared. Won't happen when they are on MMC, using that little app :)
