hi, i have been reading these posts here for quite a while about the nokia 3220. i have only seen 1 post from someone that had this phone from the USA...all others were pretty much for other countries.

i am a bit confused on what to use to unlock my nokia 3220 from tmobile, usa. i have read to use calculator cybergsm 5.4, with oriignal code 32779, with asci 2, and he network provider...and using the 7th code on the list...

but i have also heard of some other people using a different calculator and using asci 6.

could someone be kind and let me know please which settings i should try and which exactly program i should be using to unlock this 3220 tmobile usa phone, please?

i thank you for your time in reading this...

Go to the unlock codes section and download the nokiafree calc v 3.10.

There, go to options and set the calc to expert mode.

Use asic2, GEN T-Mobile, and select the network code from the drop down menu. Try the first code ONLY ONCE, be sure to type it correctly. Post results, because there are other options if it does not work. But it should work.

Don't forget to post results!

hi, i posting back my results...i used the settings mentioned above...thank you all for yoru input and the phone said "restriction off" or something like that and it turned off. so i turned phone back on...i still don't have another sim card to try it out...

i am guessing phone is unlocked?

Yes, if "phone restriction off" was displayed, the phone is indeed unlocked.

I have a 3220 with T-mobile in the U.S. as well, and I am going to try the above-mentioned process, but I have a quick question:

I took the sim card out, and I put the battery back in and turned it on, and it says "insert sim card" ; now do i just type in the code or do i have to type in the code and then hit send or type an asterisk first, etc. thanks in advance, I know it;s a silly newbie question.
