After a lot of scratching my head, and a couple of PMs to fr33s0ft I have finally changed imei number on my D500 :smile:

I bought a serial data cable but only have usb on my laptop....but i do have a serial-usb adapter.....what i didnt realise is that winimei needs the cable to be on COM1 for it to work. :-?

All done now though....all working.

i have cable and software but cant get it to let me use the new button so im stuck how do you activate the new button if i press write it says looking for server :???:

that will be winimei v1.34(uncracked) that you are using either use cracked version or older version v1.07 and problem will be solved.

sadly winimei1.34(uncracked) doesnt exist...and probably never will :-(

like fr33soft says you will need 1.07 to enter a user specified imei number but the unblocking function on this software doesnt work on the newer sgh-d500's but can use 1.34 to do this beforehand. if you have any problems just search the forum for other posts, there are plenty there and most have good advice
