I have a Nokia 6800 and was an ATT customer. Now, I've had to move it over to Cingular. I unlocked the phone and now it has a Cingular supplied SIM. Phone works fine for voice calls, but email and wireless internet no longer work. Cingular's customer service people are lost, they have no idea how to fix the problem. I have reviewed the Cingular Device and Software Settings document referenced elsewhere on this board, and made some changes to my phone's settings, but it still doesn't work. I used to get the "Authentication Failed" message. But now after making the changes as per the document, I no longer get that message, but it still doesn't work. It won't establish a GPRS connection, and email doesn't work. SMS does work.
Do I need to have the phone flashed with Cingular firmware? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
