Hi,

While uploading some address book contacts to my trusty 7110 (using gnokki and a serial cable) the phone turned off and now refuses to power up. (I've tried it with the charger connected and a spare battery, so I'm confident it's not just flat.)

Can anyone here reccomend if it is worth investing in a flashing cable? Does this sound like firmware corruption? Will I be able to fix it by flashing?

If so, can someone point me in the direction of a good 7110 firmware, please?

Thanks in advance.

if there's no hardware fault then any DCT3 can be brought to life by simply uploading (i.e flashing) new firmware to it.

About your contacts, if eeprom area is damaged then forget about them...

If you just need to flash the firmware this once then investment isn't worth it. better look for someone with cables/box
