i can not flash under windows xp although i am using userport in my lpt1 port at io: 0x378 - 0x37f.

my bios lpt setting is arranged as epp only.

should i use an interrupt in XP? currently it is set to never use an interrupt.

should i enable legacy pnp dedection?

I cannot flash in winXP either. (userport don't help). The display adapter is my problem. After i got my ATI Radeon 8500 card, userport/rolis don't work. If i uninstall the drivers it work, but if i install the drivers, it don't.

Very annoying....

Have you tried to set the port to ECP? i think it is supposed to be set to ECP.

ECP or EPP is okay, unless you have some other adapter or PCI card using that address range. try to view all your add on or pci card which are using that address range.
