Hi there

I have just bought a Nokia 6020 unwanted upgrade Nokia 6020 from a friend.

I have an orange SIM and I believe the phone was an orange contract one although it has been unlocked.

I inserted my sim, switched on the phone and within a few seconds received a welcome message (possibly from Orange or Nokia) which I believe is some kind of multimedia msg as it is indicated by an envelope with a dark bottom left corner.

The message plays through 3 image screens like so:-

-----------------
screen1
Say goodbye
to this...
CONGRA
TULATIONS!!

screen2
and hello
to this...

screen3
(picture of a couple of mad old people with a bottle of champagne)
-----------------

Anyway, my problem is that I can't seem to be able to delete this message in any way whatsoever.
It still displays in messages as a closed envelope as if it hasn't been read and on my main screen I have the new message icon.
If I receive a new message I get "2 new messages" displayed when in actual fact there is only one!

If I try and delete I get the msg "Request not completed".

If I choose to delete all messages inclusing unread ones it still does not go and I've even bought a CA-42 USB cable but it does not even show up in Nokia PC Suite.

When I look at message details I get
Sender:
(not available)
to:
(not available)
cc:
(not available)
Received:
00:00:01
01-01-1980
Subject:
welcome message
Size:

Type:

It is bugging the hell out of me so just wondered if any of you mobile guru's could advise how to get rid of it?

Appreciate your help and many thanks in advance
