View Full Version : Unlock Nokia 1100 Tracfone?

I found this on their website

" TracFone Wireless is a subsidiary of América Móvil (NYSE: AMX, NASDAQ: AMOV), Latin America's largest mobile phone provider, with more than 61 million wireless subscribers across the continent."

This carrier isn't even listed on the "network" drop down list.

Even when I go to the model drop down list, the 1100 isn't listed there either.

Can anyone help??

Well the main problem with Tracfone is that their network code is unknown, because it is like a "ghost" company. It borrows network from Cingular and other providers, but has no propietary code.

Someone used Cingular or AT&T network codes and it eventually worked, but there's no guarantee.

Mr. subway999, someone in another forum managed to unlock with one of those networks codes...

I contacted him, and eventually he managed to do that, so as I said, there's no guarantee but someone has done it before...

An explanation of GEN meaning is on the Unlock DCT4 section, as a sticky, very well explained specially on the fourth post.

A more general explanation is on the first post on that thread.

ok... I didn't say that "I'm able to..." in fact, I'm from Argentina. But just as I and the rest of members trust in your words, we have to trust on other people's words, don't you think so?

So I don't think we're damaging nobody just for saying that "eventually someone managed to unlock a tracfone 1100 using cingular or tmobile network codes, but there's no guarantee of success". I can't know it since I don't have a tracfone handset, and I don't think I will ever have, but as I said before, just as we trust in your wise words, we shall trust on other's words. It's a little fair, isn't it?

It would be great if you can get the network code for tracfone! it's a real problem really... i've seen a lot of people havong problems with this phones... it'd be great if you can find out the network code of tracfone...
