[SCRIPT] startup_tone.nrx

This script will let you have any RE ringtone as your startup tone which can be switched on/off from the menu or toggled using shortkeys.

It will be played just before the standby screen appears.

At the moment only ONE tone can be added.

I have tested this on a 3310 only but should work on others.

I have listened to the file and see what you mean..

What RE file are you using as the Nokia TUNE on mine works fine.
All the ones I use seem to play OK with me...

Some RE tones have a small piece of code at the beginning that tells it to loop. (Alarm ring tone).

yeah there is a format about tones... if not right it either not play or loop endlessly...

I have updated the welcome_tones.nrx script. It now offers MULTIPLE tone support. :grin:
BUG: Only use tones with no VIBRA code inserted as the VIBRA will not stop when tone ends or you could also TURN off VIBRA via the menu.

It would be nice to play the startup tone trough the speaker instead of the buzzer (nicer sound and lower volume). We know that the phone is able to play ringtones with both devices but how you can select it?

Is the output type encoded into the RE data or do we need to specify a flag when calling e.g. the play_tone() function? (I guess the latter.) Has anybody reversed this?

Edit:
On 6110 some note values (e.g. 0x51, 0x78, 0x79, 0x7a) are used in signal tones and played through the speaker. However, when a headset is connected, all tones are played through the speaker; how to force this without headset connected?
