I have a couple of questions. Much appreciated if someone can help out. I own two Nokia 3390 phones that I want to unlock. Is the 3390 a dct3 or dct4 phone? The phone currently belong to T-Mobile of the United States. The online calculator wants me to input other information such as GID1 for dtc3. How do I know which options to choose? I don't know much about phones for forgive me for my newbie-ness.

Thanks. I just ignored the GD1 code since it was optional and got both phones to unlock. My mom has an 8290 phone that she also wants to unlock. It was bought from Ebay and the network was with Voicestream in Oregon. As there are several options under Voicestream, I selected Voicestream Central. After entering the code, I got a "not allowed" message. I tried to enter in different codes but I still get this message. What do I do?

"Not allowed" means you have tried to many wrong codes
Now impossible by code, only by cable and soft
Sorry. BR

Hello I have a nokia 3590 "GoPhone" From AT&T Wireless.
I started a new contract with Cingular, and would love to use this phone as a "SPARE", because they sent me an LG (for me is like a kind of "cracker jack box gift")
Is there any way to unlock this phone? BTW the phone uses a SIM card.
Any help will be truly appreciated.
Thanks.
;-) :) :)

you can help yourself by using the "unlock codes" link above. Just select the model, the network and try generated code #1 or #7.
If you have doubts on how to type the code just look in the FAQ's section
BTW, 3590 is a DCT4 phone and this the DCT3 generation section ;)
cheers
