Hi,
I have a Nokia 7250 with a cracked screen after it got knocked off the worktop. This bloke said he could fix it, and he apparently has, but then he said the mic and speaker are dead as well which have now been fixed as well. And now he says that he needs to flash the software on again, I don't really know much about phones but I do know the principle behind flashing as I am into computers, I really don't see why it needs to be flashed after replacing some hardware, especially basic things like a screen, mic and speaker.
The main reason I wanted to get the screen replaced was so I could see my old pictures and phone numbers (which will be wiped when it gets flashed), as I have already got a new phone thinking the 7250 couldn't be fixed. So if it does get flashed I haven't really got anywhere.
Can anyone explain why it needs to be flashed?
If I got a data cable would I be able to get the pics and numbers off before he flashes it?
Thanks,
Jimmy
