nokia 3650 reset please please help

Hi,I was told how to reset my nokia 3650(because i was selling it)and i wanted to get rid of all the stuff of it.I pressed a series of keys that i was told to but i fear that i have done a full phone format.When i turn the phone on it turns on ok but after the main screen comes on and i press the main menu button all my applications have gone.My wife has the same phone so could i back up that and restore her settings on my phone????but how do i get her info on my phone.I am realy fed up please help me.
