View Full Version : Just bought a 6630 on eBay, I have a question...
I have an N-Gage amongst other phones (3660, 6620), I have a 1gb MMC, can I use it with the 6630 or is it not gonna work? If not, what's the biggest size MMC I can buy for it? Also, do the stereo headphones come with the package? Cheers guys

no the mmc wont work as the 6630 uses DVRS-MMC which the highest capacity i have seen is 512mb and it was more expensive than a 1gb mmc.
stereo head phones do come with it like the ones with the 6230
This blows, there's only 2 sellers on eBay selling these, prices are outrageous, and 512mb not quite enough for me, what was wrong with the old mmcs?

they are too big, wont fit in the hole plus they dont support the lower 1.8 voltage(power saving, trust me i get an extra two days out of my 6630 than any other symbian i have had)
So what size mmc do you have and where'd you get it? And will most apps and games work on it no problem and are there any new good apps made specifically for the 6630?

i got a 256mb, back in april for about £25 delivered from ebay, not many problems with apps, only older versions tend to not work but as its been out 8 months now most developers have released updates, need big cards with this phone as image size is 400kb plus when on full quality
Are we going to see 3rd party software for playing mp3's in stereo? I remember someone explaining a while back why this couldn't be done on the N-Gage (hardware thing), would it be possible on the 6630?

6630 is already playing mp3s with stereo output. You can hear good quality mp3 (using third party apps like Ultra mp3) on ngage by using also an audio jack converter (2.5to 3.5). We already tested it and the mp3 quality output changed better.
I know the 6630 has stereo output already, I read somewhere though that there is no equalizer in the RealPlayer so I was wondering if a 3rd party stereo mp3 player would be possible...
