did you try too many wrong codes ?
is your phone hardlocked ?

No i did't use too many cods, and what do you mean whith hardlocked

If you never tried unlocking by code before you don't need cable, you can unlock by code

If you tried too many codes (more than 5) then your phone is hardlocked, means you will no more be able to unlock by code and you really need a cable

If you want unlock your phone by code use the free automatic calc on line here with GEN set to asic6
and use the code 7

6230 is not a DCT4, it's DCT 4.5 and allow you enter code to unlock only 2 times

Correct me if i'm wrong but is a Nokia 6230i not different to unlock as a Nokia 6230, considering it is a 6230i this guy is trying to unlock??

It makes no difference for unlocking, same code !
