Can someone tell me if it is possible to get my 6220 to work on the 3 network
I am told it is but you have to put the sim in a three enabled phone to top up, so they dont know your using a phone not designed for their network.

It is locked to vodaphone at the moment.

Can anyone tell me how to do it?
Please assist!!

If it says "cannot undo restriction" does this mean it is hard locked?
and is there anyway round this without using cables?

nope, phone has used all 5 tries to unlock it via keypad so now just a professional box can do the job (not even cables can sort it)

You will be unable to use any nokia 2G phone with a Hutchinson Three G sim there is a special s/w on the sim to prevent this!

Its against the terms and conditions and it will the network will eventually disconnect the sim if they catch you up to no good!

One of my mates has a 3 sim in a 6230? so how has he done this?

Hi, found this answer on another forum. see if it fits the requirements ;)

I had someone in the shop with this question today........apparently it had been unlocked and working on 3 for a few months until yesterday.

I think you can use the 6230 as an emergency phone if you are getting your 3g phone repaired ( roaming on O2 ) but if you stay only on O2 this will eventually be noticed by 3 and they will eventually pull the plug as you are costing them money by never using 3's network and leaving them with an O2 bill to pay !

Hope this helps to clarify....
