Maybe you're confused about what is unlocking.

If you turn on the phone and it does not display "Invalid SIM", then the phone is correctly unlocked and there is another problem.

It could be, basically, two options:
a) The phone is working on a different frequency, that is why you don't get any signal
b) The phone is blocked, or barred, meaning it has been reported stolen/lost, and has been blacklisted by all carriers (it's common that they share their blacklists).

If those two options are not possible, post again with a little more information so we can do our best.

Mmmmmmmmnnnnn?

Isnt that what I was going down the lines off?

If it was, it was not clear enough, at least for me. To be more explicit takes just a few keystrokes more man. Sorry anyways if I repeated the same, really. English is not my mother tongue, and though I have a certain skill, it's not the best.

No easy way here mate... Frequency is set by hardware, changing frequencies would involve major hardware modifications and specific equipment... besides that, in the end its easier and cheaper to buy a new phone .

The best option is to get a new cheap compatible handset (1100 i.e.), or sell your phone overseas, or swapping for a compatible one.

You can try in the sale section of this forums.

Sorry for not bringing better news.

Mr. subway999' excellent analogy is perfect for this case.

So, more or less, you got an idea. Basically, the hot air station that you'd need would cost you like usd2000, that is, if you can get one.

After that, you'd need the replacement parts (basically, filter frequencies).

After that, since the firmware for different version is also different, a box. That adds for Euro 400.

So, as said before, that analogy is perfect.

Really, no easy solution. Swap phones overseas is the best solution.

Hello guys!
I am trying to unlock the Nokia 3220b type RH-49, but it does not go trough. What happens is that as I entered a code there is no response from a phone at all. As far as I know the phone should respond by the following massage, if it is unlocked or it is not, but nothing comes out from it. Please, advise. Thank you in advance. :)

Thanks. But, as far as know, if to follow the instructions to unlock the phone, you must to take the sim card from the phone. Please, advise. Thank you in advance! :)

Well, i think it should be obvious that if you followed the "instructions" and it didn't work then subway999's answer is probably the right one, right? ;)

Do as he said as (check his post count) he has a lot of experience in this field :-P

cheers

Then, please advise what software should I use, in order to generate a correct code for the Nokia 3220b type RH-49. Thank you in advance! :)
