Hi,
I used rollins477 to unlock my friends 3330. Everything seemed to go well. However, once the phone is turned on as soon as it gets a signal it reboots.
The rollinns477 says the following for 3330, but I dont understand what it means:
1)partial unlock 2)m2bus relock phone to FFFFF 3) restore flash back
If it means I should have taken a copy first, I didn't!
Can anyone help? Can I copy the EEPROM from another working phone or a virgin EEPROM?
Thanks in advance....

hi m8, your eprom ain't the prob...
My gues is a corupted MSID
1) Try to restore phone... using Rolis...
2) connect your phone using a Mbus cable
3) Launch "Knox" tool
2) under "Phone settings" click "Quick set FAID"
3) under same menu click "Reset SP locks"
4) "Quick set FAID" once more and there u go....
If this dosn't work drop a post, and I will teach u how to restore your phone from scratch.

Where can I get rolis from?
Is "Knox" part of the rolis software?
Thanks again....

@dr.bizar, I also have same problem with 3330 V4.50. I have tried your guide above, but still the same, Ran eeprom tools, and the msid is missing, any further help would be appreciated.

I ran knok (Engine build 22 / Frontenv 18)
The Phone Settings -> Quick set FAID gives
MBUS_SecurityCommand: cannot execute 'Enable extended commands'
CMD_handlecommands: cannot analyze phone
MBUS_SecurityCommand: cannot execute 'Enable extended commands'
I tried using both my serial and my parallel connectors for my cable.
Using NokTool18, when I read phone info it says that the MSId is invalid, must be 81,82,83
Can you help me?
Thanks

I bought the Nokia Unlocker kit/Flasher Kit from gsmmagic.com
Does using it with the COM port connection = MBUS or am I making a daft assumption?
NokTool18 auto identifies the cable okay as mbus with power on RTS or something like that. I can then use the cable okay.
Do I actually have an MBUS cable?
Thanks in advance.....
