I've entered too many cades, none of which worked, can I unlock this myself (I have the stock Nokia/USB cable) using software downloads, or should I just head to a shop?

Well... head to a shop. Cable unlocking means just that is has to be made with hardware. You need a cable, yes, AND a box, which is rather expensive (400 Euro) for just one phone. A small repai shop will charge you max 30usd for unlocking the phone.

Well, if you read the first post well you should have understood that the phone is hardlocked by now and only a box can unlock it.
That's why i see no reason for asking him to send you the phone's imei :???:

Hey guys, first of all thanks a ton for the info.

Unfortunately I am still having problems unlocking my Nokia 6230b on the Congular network.

-I am using the crux 2.31 calc
-imei: <IMEI removed>

I keep getting "Cannot undo restiction."

Why? ANyone know what to do?

first, do not post IMEI numbers on this forum as it is not allowed
second, the message you keep getting means you wasted all the 5 tries you're allowed to use to unlock the phone. Now only a special device connected to the phone can unlock it.

please read the forum rules before posting and use the search button to avoid repeated questions/answers

Well, he's getting "cannot undo restriction". He has generated the correct codes... it's just that he tried too many times. Hardware unlock only by now, unfortunately.
