Hi all, the screen on my D500 has gone white.
I read up on here & thought the answer was to flash the phone so I've just done that with corona 3.2 using the D500XADL2_HW28 file, but although the flash seemed to work ok (using 9v serial lead) the screen is still white.
Does anyone know how I can get the screen working properly again, & why it went white to start with? The fone can still make/receive calls, its just a pain not being able to see anything!!
The IMEI was "repaired" around a month ago using WINIMEI 1.07 but the fone has functioned just fine since then, well, until this :???:

it's a common fault on most samsung's you'll have to change the lcd screen. a rite pain in the arse that is

How much should I be looking at paying to have a new screen fitted (in UK), any idea?

hey i'm in the uk as well and have pretty much the same problem but my screen is actually cracked. you're just going to have to eBay it. The screen will be about £40. There was this one on eBay but it seems to have gone. Anyone else know anywhere where we can get them cheaper in the uk? I'd need mine fitted as well though. you could email my friend in wolverhampton..
he has a shop called phonezone...
he reps most fones software and screens, also unlocking (usually around £10 to £15 on new models..

I just spoke to a guy in a repair shop (london based) & apparently white screens on d500's are nearly always caused by a damaged ribbon (excessive wear from opening & closing, could poss be lcd as well but doubtful he said), anyways £45 to repair ribbon only, £85 if ribbon & screen need replacing... not too bad if just ribbon faulty eh?

Guys, Ribbon costs £5. Fit yourself or find some1 who will. I had the same problem and and paid £25 all inc.
