Asphalt Urban GT 6680 Color fix :

PLEASE READ : Do these things at your own risk.. This guide requires some knowledge of Nokia Symbian phones!

Okay here goes :


Find and download Catan

Install 6R46.AIF and 6R46.APP into e:\system\apps\6R46
Install all the libs from Catan into e:\system\libs

Find Asphalt and install it.

REMEMBER WHERE IN THE MENU YOUR ASPHALT ICON IS!! IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO PUT IT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE SO ALL U HAVE TO DO IS PRESS MENU AND SELECT IT!

Go to bluetooth and make sure it's turned on, otherwise Asphalt will not boot.

Now select the Catan icon. Your screen will be messed up but don't worry, because you remember where Asphalt is in the menu. Now start up Asphalt and... HOOORAY!!! It's working.

Now enjoy it with shorter load times and a better frame rate ;)


NOTES :

More games might work with this fix, I'm testing Ghost Recon soon...

Tested on a 6680 with firmware 2.04.15 RM-36

Might also work on 6630.

I'm guessing it won't work on 6600 and 7610, anyone up for testing?

Please do not ask me where to download these files.

When you are done playing, you have to restart the phone to get normal display back.



UPDATE : Ghost Recon also works! With better framerate than on the n-gage :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:

on 6670 catan do not make color crash :[
Catan do ... nothing ,dont run.

Then fix will not work.

This fix really works!!! i tried it on my 6680..on firmware 3.04.12

Asphalt works!!!Although u have to free up some ram..so its hard to find appman for me!! but it works..ur a genius man!!!! THANKS 8-) :-o

hi guys i cant launch asphalt
i get the memory error
and i have 7.7Mb ram free!
any solution?

Try FExplorer or Appman to close unnecessary stuff to save memory, or reboot your phone and hold edit button down when it's booting.

Didn't try it yet but I wonder how this can fix all things...

I mean, Asphalt Urban on 6680 not only has the very known color problem but above all the "screen problem" (splitted in 2 screens like a lot of other ngage games on 6680...).

what other games can this thing fix?
i already tested motogp to se if it could fix the sound but no image problem, but it didnt. i cant test splinter cell chaos theory cuz i just dont have enough MB free on my mmc.
i hope this works on asphalt urban 2

guys...it first worked on my 6680..then when i tried it for the 2nd time..asphalt loads till the gameloft logo, then it exits to the main menu...why does this happen??pls help.. :cry:

Is bluetooth turned on? It must be otherwise Asphalt will not start...

ok i don't understand a thing....what is catan and where do i get it..

for the man who create this fix ...May be he can giv the source code or
port this fix to 7.0s OS...Lot of people are stil using 6600 7610 3230
And it will be great if someone create the same fix for this series...

there are not really some gye that fix it he found out how to do it with catan since catan start with color errors can that color erros be used to fix the color`s on asphalt and eks ghost recon

May be there is deburger for simbian os platform that can take this fix from
*.app file and create the programm That converts colours...
Someone knew how to do this?

Tested the whole thing on my N70,but it doesn't work....colours remains corrupted on both Asphalt & Ghost recon.Splinter Cell worx fine without any trick,btw...
Is there some other N70 owner that has tried N-gage games on N70?My 64 Mb rsmmc is full,very full!
