Erm they dont need to reasign PUK codes...

All they do is take your mobile number and use it to find out the PUK code.

I had to do this for my O2 sim in the UK, they had an automated thing where u ring up and enter your mobile number and they read the PUK for you - easy :D

If you enter an incorrect PIN number 3 times, you need a PUK to unlock the SIM. As mentioned above, this PUK code needs to be obtained by contacting your service provider. This is a free service (apart from the cost of the phonecall itself). You must be able to provide personal details that they have on file, to check that you are really the owner, and have not got a stolen SIMcard that you are trying to use.

BEWARE!!:

If you need a PUK code and you try to enter an incorrect PUK code 10 times, your SIMcard will have to be thrown in the bin - it can never be unlocked again, not even if you ask your service provider!
