@Geezuzz:

I used XP Mobile 2002 to update faid on a 3410! I have done it on 2 diffrent phones, and it worked perfect. I set XP mobile 20 3330, and update faid...? before i updated the faid, the phone reset all the time!!

Kent|: i know it works on normal software upgrades, but if the flash is modified, it don't work.

@Joox

well, after reading the replies, you can see what we need.

Do you have any clue about those extra checksums on these models? will you try to add support for these in another version?

Seems like noone cares about it. They've been out for a very long time now, and nobody have made programs that fic the checksums yet... :(

Did the flash you flash to 3410 is modified? or just the normal original nokia flash file?

Thanks you.

Geezuzz have right. I didnt flash the phone, just changed imei, and unlocked it from network provider!

We depend on the ppl that writes software, without them... :)

Hmm. I am not good in finding algorithms to calculate Checksums. :\

At the moment I am trying to understand the Animations in Nokiaphones.

@slikmik:

"Source code????????"
what kind of languange is this?
it sounds like a 2yr old boy that wants something to eat
"dada dudu foood..."
:D

me and joox know nokdoc also..
and i know that he is respecting the work we do for the community
and i think he is also respecting our mean of sharing....
this is not the linux community i came from (and still i am)
its too commercial so it will be no good thing to share sources..

all we share is information and in the case of checkfixer all information
is available on the forums

sorry about that....
and next time ask a little bit more politely

Mr. Slikmik,

None of the 3 lines U wrote can ever comply to my character.

So I guess U just don't know me.

And as seen how U treat my two personal guests, I think I want to keep it like that for a while.

Thanks.

Ok chill please Mr Joox and NokDoc :confused:

Didnt mean any offence guys :rolleyes:

Its just the community of budding programmers is diminishing and open source is the way to go and i understand if i was a tad blunt, i apologise but my view is if we share source then it would HUGELY help development of any programs out there for people

So ok im soz for asking, keep it to yourself

If a programmer want help or has questions about Checksums, graphics, animations, ppm reading or something else. just ask me, i will help programmers always.

My aim is to teach programmersthe technics how it is done, my aim not to just share source code which some guys copys for their own program but don't know what this source does.

i share joox' sight in the mean of share...

i explained everything i've done to nokdoc, joox or every other
people (who knew what i was talking about - asm etc)..

but i wont give away my ready sources...

slikmik

Ok cheers i understand both of your views

I make it a thing not to actually use any source in my own projects unless i fully understand it, and your view that people will simply steal/copy your work is respected

Mr. SlikMik.

Ur question was just a bit too much to be seen as friendly.

It sounded like a spoiled child around Christmas time to me.

Nevertheless I think U handled it correct afterwards so I want to apologise for the hard way I spoke to U earlier.

And hope we all can continue our lives as friends again.

Thanks.
