I want to unlock my nokia 2600, (is this a dct3 or a dct4?)

IMEI <removed>

I already tried #pw+???????????????+7#

The phone is registered to Vodaphone-CallYa Germany .

Can anybody help me out?

please do not post IMEI numbers in this forum as you're violating a forum rule which entitles to be banned. Go read the rules thread (first thing to do after registration ;) )

Now to gsm...

Your phone is a DCT4 and to help you some more you must tell us the sw version/date of the phone (type *#0000#)

it's on tracfone model 2600b rh-60

search for "tracfone" (without the quotes)... there seems to be a problem with those phones. Unlocking it will not work, because the Air Tank remains empty and you are not able to make phone calls. Do a search and you will find some posts explaining this issue more detailed.

Hello folks

I also need help unlocking my Nokia 2600 - I've been using NokiaFree 3.10, selecting 'Nokia', '2600', (IMEI), France, Bouygues Telecom, and pressing 'calculate' - I tried codes #1 and #7, and both failed.

The *#0000# details of my phone are
v5.24
26-08-05
RH-59
(c)NMP
2600

I've seen advice to people to try DCT4 Expert and another 'code', but I'm not sure that I understand how the other code is arrived at, or what any of the fields (that are normally greyed out in non-expert mode) mean. Any help would be appreciated, before I use up my Five Free Goes. :D

Under the battery, I notice that the IMEI is printed together with another number "CODE: 05xxxxx" - is that a significant number?

Not necessary to post there, your firmware date was known to work with the known GENs ;). But, if you're on the plans of buying a new phone, we still have not seen any 06 firmware :cool:. If you plan to unlock a 06 phone, come back!

That text is really good... I still didn't have the time to read it from end to end... too much work and tests at university. Besides that, I'm not using the field test mode, because on dct4 you have to flash the phone and I don't have a box :(.

Well... except for the network code, you should be fine with the settings in this thread (Asic type 2; GEN ONE, Asic 6 or Original; seventh code from set). Do a search for Virgin network code, because I can't remember if it was a normal network code or it did have some trick like Tesco.

Well... I don't know that calc... it certainly doesn't seem like NokiaFREE calc... unless it is a version that I don't know... but going to our issue, you can't calc the code you need with that calc, because it seems that is has only three serials allowed, and no custom field for that variable.

You can find a here in DCT4 Unlocking section a sticky made by Mr. Cosmictej, a link to the NokiaFREE standalone version.

Once you got that installed, go to Options, set to expert mode, select "DCT4 Expert" from the model drop down list, and enter the settings manually.
